Samsung Galaxy S confirmed for U.S. Cellular and Verizon as Fascinate

Samsung Galaxy S

UPDATE: One interesting thing about Fascinate is that it will be pre-loaded with Bing Maps and Bing Search.

Samsung USA just confirmed what to expect at the party tomorrow by unveiling Galaxy S for major US operators. In addition to AT&T, they’ve announced the device for U.S. Cellular, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint.

Unlike other operators, U.S. Cellular has decided to keep the same name with the same features like 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, 1GHz CPU, Android 2.1, 5MP camera, 720p HD video recording, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0, DLNA, virtual Swype keyboard, Social Hub and microSD card slot.

This will be Samsung’s second Android device for U.S. Cellular after Samsung Acclaim.

Verizon’s Fascinate, on the other hand has one obvious difference in addition to the design change, if any. The phone features the same specs but will have a 5MP camera with LED flash, which is not present in Galaxy S. Verizon will also provide mobile hotspot capability, allowing up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices to share data connection from the phone.

Verizon and U.S. Cellular are yet to announce the prices but U.S. Cellular has confirmed to launch in fall.

Galaxy S for other operators:

AT&T Captivate
T-Mobile Vibrant
Sprint Epic 4G
