AT&T has expanded its messaging phones lineup with the introduction of two new Samsung devices. The Eternity II (SGH-a597) is a touchscreen-based device that features a 3-inch display and comes with AT&T Mobile TV support that allows users to enjoy live or time-shifted TV content for some monthly payment.
However, other than the above feature, the phone is pretty mediocre. It features a 2MP camera, SNS support with AT&T Social Net, full HTML browser, Bluetooth 2.1, smart gestures, music player and up to 32GB microSD card slot.
Flight II (SGH-a927) is again a touchscreen device but it features a horizontal sliding QWERTY keyboard, making it an ideal messaging phone. Flight II also boasts specs similar to Eternity II like the 2MP camera, Bluetooth 2.1, music player, social networking support and up to 16GB microSD card slot.
Eternity II will be released on August 15 whereas Flight II is already available at Radio Shack for $49.99 on contract.
