Epic 4G

Sprint has put all speculation to rest by announcing Epic 4G’s release date and price. The 4G-toting Samsung device will start retailing from August 31 for $249.99 while reservations will start from tomorrow. It’s priced at a $50 premium as compared to other Galaxy S versions but Sprint’s variant comes with a physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 4G network support and LED camera flash.

Other features include the fast 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, Android 2.1 OS, 5MP camera, 720p HD video recording, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, microSD card slot, Swype text-input, DLNA, six-axis sensor and more.

Epic 4G is Sprint’s second high-end 4G device that will sell alongside HTC’s Evo 4G.
