Samsung LED TVs are one of the most eco-friendly television sets in the market. A research conducted by VDE Institute on behalf of Samsung reveals that Samsung LED TVs not only meet this year’s eco-design guidelines in Europe but also stringent guidelines from 2012.

A 55-inch C8970 Series 3D LED TV consumes only 133.25 watts under power saving mode, which is 55 percent less to what is the applicable limit for televisions from 2012. Most Samsung LED TVs have intelligent sensor that controls the TV brightness according to the ambient light, thus helping to save power.

Samsung’s use of materials also adds to the eco-friendliness of the TV sets. Samsung TVs are free from volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and use recycled materials for packaging.
