Samsung to exit e-paper business

August 24, 2010 By kunal 4 Comments

epaper

Samsung has announced that they’ll stop production of e-paper panels. The reason to exit the e-paper business is due to “cost issues” and apparently, e-paper’s not so promising future.

However, Samsung will continue to compete in the e-book reader market. In 2011, Samsung will launch a new e-book reader that will sport an LCD screen instead of e-paper.

Samsung launched few e-book readers this year but didn’t manage to get the expected response.
