XDAdeveloper forum users have found a way to download the aforementioned Galaxy S firmware that will give users the ability to download Android 2.2 Froyo. However, the update through Samsung’s official software, the firmware I9000XXJPC is meant for test purposes.
Anyways, users can do this by way of a simple registry hack that they need to create and apply, after which will force Kies to download the test firmware for the connected Galaxy S.
It is advisable for users to wait for the official announcement but if you can’t, head over to the forum thread below.
