After a number of leaks, Samsung’s first Android-powered tablet is here. The Galaxy Tab (GT-P1000) has been revealed at the IFA and will be launched first in Europe in mid-September.
The Galaxy Tab is a lightweight device that not only functions as a tablet but also as a phone, via a Bluetooth headset. As we told you before, the Tab features a 1GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 7-inch TFT LCD with WSVGA resolution support (1024×600), 3MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.3MP front facing camera, Android 2.2 OS, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0, Swype, Flash 10.1 support, 16 or 32GB internal memory, microSD card slot (up to 32GB) and a 4000mAh battery.
Additionally, it will have Readers Hub – an ebook reader application, Media Hub – to rent or purchase TV shows or movies, Music Hub – to buy music and Social Hub – to connect with friends on various social networks.
South Korea, US and Asia will get in coming months, which we expect it to be by November.
