Wave 525

Samsung just announced three new Wave devices and one Windows Mobile-based device for the Indian market. The bada OS running Wave series got three new additions in the form of Wave 525, Wave 533 and Wave 723 whereas Omnia 652 in the Omnia range running Windows Mobile OS.

Wave 533

One interesting thing to note here is that online (and presumably brick and mortar shops) retailers have been selling all these devices for quite some time. Anyways, the Wave 525 and Wave 533 are more or less similar with the difference being in 533’s physical QWERTY keyboard. Other than that, both have a 3.2-inch display, Wi-Fi, TouchWiz 3.0 UI, Bluetooth, A-GPS, 3.2MP camera, FM Radio and more. The Wave 525 and Wave 533 are priced at Rs. 8,800 and Rs. 9,900 respectively.

Wave 723

Next bada device to be unveiled is the Wave 723. It’s superior than the other two bada phones and features a 3.2-inch screen with TouchWiz 3.0 UI, Social Hub, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, SoundAlive audio enhancing tech, 5MP camera with LED flash and comes with a detachable flip leather cover. Its priced at Rs. 13,500.

Samsung also made the Omnia 652 official. The Omnia 652 is nothing but Omnia Pro 5 (B6520) and runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. The candybar phone goes for Rs. 10,600 and features 3G support, 2.4-inch display, 2MP camera, social networking access, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, GPS, Office suite support and 1500mAh battery.
