Samsung sets up Refrigerator production plant in Chennai, India

Samsung has inaugurated its second refrigerator manufacturing facility in India. The plant situated at Sriperumbudur, Chennai, India spans an area of 25,000m2 and will have an annual capacity of about 1.2 million units, totaling to about 2.5 million refrigerators along with the Noida plant.

Samsung has confirmed to invest US$75 million in the plant that will help them to export the products to other Asian countries. With the new facility, refrigerators will now take only 3 days to reach the market from production as compared to the previous 2 weeks.
