Samsung Super PLS technology

Samsung Mobile Display has announced that they’ve developed the next-generation LCD display, which is touted to be better than the conventional IPS panels. Super PLS or Super Plan to Line Switching display is claimed to have an improvement of about 100 percent in viewing angle and is 10 percent brighter.

The Super PLS display tech supports up to WXGA resolution and is about 15 percent cheaper to produce.

Mass production is slated for early next year and will be integrated in future smartphones.
