Samsung India plans to launch 45 phones in 2011

Yes, you read that right. According to Samsung exec Ruchika Batra, they’re expecting to launch at least 42-45 models in India, majority of which will be smartphones and touchscreen devices.

The exec didn’t divulge what phones will we see in the coming months but the recent leaks are clear indication of what will reach Indian shores.

Batra also refuted the IDC report that claimed Samsung slipping to the third position in the Indian mobile phone market.

We do not follow the IDC data. We follow the GfK-Nielsen report that says we are largest selling mobile phone company after Nokia.

[Thanks, Mayank!]
