Samsung confirms Galaxy S successor with dual-core CPU, more devices to complement Galaxy Tab

Galaxy S teaser

With Samsung Electronics’ Q4 2010 results out, the Korean giant also confirmed couple of details we’ve been hearing for some time. They’ll launch the Galaxy S successor in the first half of 2011 featuring a dual-core processor and Super AMOLED Plus display that will further “enrich user experience.” Other details on the phone are still a mystery but it’s good to hear it directly from the horse’s mouth.

Samsung also commented about the tablet market but didn’t mention anything about Galaxy Tab’s successor. Instead, Samsung will look to launch range of devices that will complement its Galaxy Tab.

Samsung announced it will introduce the successor to its Galaxy S smartphone during the first half of 2011, featuring a dual-core processor and Super AMOLED Plus display to further enrich user experience. With its growing lineup, the company is targeting smartphone sales of 60 million units for the year, double that of 2010. In the tablet market, Samsung will complement its Galaxy Tab with a range of devices to optimally meet various user needs.
