Samsung Wave II available in India

Samsung Wave II S8530

 

Samsung’s successor to the original Wave (S8500) is now available in the Indian market. The Wave II (S8530) is Samsung’s fifth bada device that ups the specs from the original Wave with a 1GHz CPU, bada 1.2 OS, 3.7-inch Super Clear LCD, TouchWiz UI, 5MP camera with LED flash, HD video recording and playback, DivX/Xvid support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Quicktype by T9 keyboard, 1500mAh battery, GPS and microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB.

Samsung has priced the Wave II at Rs. 20,900 but many retailers are selling the phone for around Rs. 17,000.

    It does NOT up the specs of the original Wave, it is actually a downgrade. The only superior feature is Bada 1.2, which includes the quicktype feature.

    The original Wave S8500 has a superior Super AMOLED screen, so when 1.2 is released, it will still be the better phone.
