Samsung brings Gem Android phone to Alltel

Samsung has officially introduced Gem Android phone for the US market. The phone will be available via Alltel and as we expected it is an entry-level Android device that will go for free on two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Gem runs Android 2.1 OS and comes with 3.2-inch WQVGA display, 800MHz CPU, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.2MP camera, quick social network access with Social Hub, 124MB internal memory and microSD card slot supporting up to 16GB.
