Samsung launches SD card range in South Korea

Samsung has launched their premium SD card and microSD card range in its home market. Samsung’s memory cards are known for its ruggedness and reliability and will be available in two categories – Essential and Plus segregated according to the card’s write speed, Class (Class 4 for Essential and Class 6 for Plus) and limited warranty.

The cards will range in capacities from 4GB to 16GB and boast a read speed of up to 17MB/s and a write speed of up to 13MB/s.

As far as ruggedness goes, the cards are water-proof, magnet proof and dust proof and can withstand temperatures varying from 85C to -40C.
