Vodafone says Google suspended Galaxy S Gingerbread update

April 19, 2011 By kunal 1 Comment

Barely after a day, Vodafone has released a new statement saying that the Gingerbread update for Galaxy S won’t be available until further notice. The update has been pulled by Google citing an unknown “issue with the Gingerbread update for the Samsung Galaxy S.”

Not sure what the issue is as Vodafone also did not find any performance issues with their variant.

Apparently, this issue affects unbranded Galaxy S devices as well.

I hope this suspension of the gingerbread update does not affect the new Galaxy S 2 i9100.
Having pre ordered from Amazon.co.uk i hope it doesn’t get delayed.
