Apple’s COO, Tim Cook has confirmed that despite them suing Samsung’s Electronics and Mobile Communications division, they will still continue to maintain a strong relationship as a component buyer.
Apple reckons Samsung as a “valued component supplier” and will continue to buy LCD panels and semiconductors from them.
Cook also said that they tried to work this issue for some time but they had to “rely on the courts” after Samsung “crossed the line.”
Apple sued Samsung for copying iPhone and iPad hardware designs and some elements from the user interface.

I seen to remember Apple tried to take The Beatles, Paul McCartney, to court for using the Apple name and icon.
Was proved Apple name and icon was patented sometime previously by The Beatles some 25 years ago. 1960/70’s i believe.

I think Apple knows that if they dont stop Samsung now it will too late for them and products like Samsung Galaxy S II & Galaxy Tab will soon take over so hyped iphones. Thats the only reason Apple is now trying to somehow stop Samsung from doing that using the Lawsuits…
I feel Samsung should dump Apple as a Customer and show them that iphone or any iproducts cant be made without components from Samsung.

I feel it’s Apple trying to throw it’s weight around again and should consider the consequences.
I you take a supplier to court be very very sure of the ground you stand on.
If Samsung is the only supplier of certain components, they may stop supply to Apple.
But we’ll see what the consequences are.
