At an event held in Chennai, Samsung today “officially” launched its Nexus S phone for the Indian market. Samsung has set the MRP of the phone at Rs. 29,950 but you can get it for less from the retailers. Nexus S in India is the I9023 model, which means it has a 4-inch Super LCD instead of I9020’s Super AMOLED.
Other than that, we’ve the same features like 1GHz processor, Android 2.3 OS, 5MP camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, NFC, 16GB internal memory, GPS and 1500mAh battery.

I got this device from a popular retailer last Thursday itself. Or the previous one.
Not sure what this launch is about.
