Samsung has bombarded the Indian digital camera market with new models featuring ultra-zoom, HD and even dual-view screen. Cameras launched are SH100, WB700, ST700, ST6500, ST90, ST65, ST30, PL210, PL120, PL20 and PL10.
Starting with SH100, it is a Wi-Fi-enabled digital camera capable of capturing videos to up to 14.2MP. It features 26mm wide-angle lens with 5X optical zoom, touch-based Smart Touch 3.0 UI, DLNA, Remote viewfinder support, GPS and more. SH100 goes for Rs. 14,900.
Next is the ultra-slim WB700 with 24mm Schneider Kreuznach lens and 24X smart zoom. the 14MP camera can also record HD videos and comes with Smart Filter allowing users to enhance the images. WB700 is priced at Rs. 15,900.
The ST700 from the ST series is a 2View camera, which means it has a 1.8-inch front LCD screen and a 3-inch touchscreen at the back. In addition to the extra screen in front allowing users to take better self-portrait shots, the 16.1MP features a 26mm lens supporting 5X optical zoom, Smart 2.0 Filter, Magic Frame etc. The ST700 is priced at Rs.16,990 whereas other models in the ST series are priced at: 16MP ST6500 at Rs. 13,990, 14MP ST90 at Rs.9,490, ST65 at Rs 7,490 and the 10MP ST30 at Rs.5,990.
The newly introduced cameras in PL Series include PL210, PL120, PL20 and PL10. The PL210, PL120 and PL20 are equipped with a 14MP sensor and features 10X optical zoom (PL210), dual-screen and 27mm wide angle lens (PL120) and 26mm lens with 5X optical zoom. Additionally, you’d find features like Face Recognition, dual-image stabilization and more.
The PL210 is priced at Rs.11,990/- while PL120 and PL20 are priced at Rs.8,490 and Rs.6,990 respectively.
