Samsung has announced Galaxy S II availability and pricing for the Australian region. The Android 2.3 Gingerbread running phone will be available from early next month at a price of AU$899. Hardware specs remain unchanged but Samsung has tried to customized the phone with localized apps like free Navigon Navigation app, a 30-day trial to Good Food Guide and Second TV app allowing users to stream content from their Smart TV directly to the Galaxy S II phone over Wi-Fi. Additionally, Samsung has also launched the Dive service in Australia that will allow to remotely lock, wipe or geolocate the device via the web browser.
Galaxy S II is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and features 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 8MP camera at the back, full HD video playback and recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, microSD card slot and more.
Optus is currently taking pre-orders with expected deliver in first week of June.
