Samsung files a lawsuit against Siemens’ Osram in South Korea

June 13, 2011 By kunal Leave a Comment

In retaliation to the lawsuit filed by Siemens-owned Osram, the Korean giant sued Osram in South Korea. Samsung says Osram is infringing a number of patents related to LED technology. Eight patents are said to be infringed by Osram that includes LED and packaging technology, mostly used in headlights.

Samsung also plans to file a lawsuit in other countries but in the meantime wants to halt the illegal use of its intellectual property as well as monetary damages.

A week ago, Osram sued Samsung for infringing patents in US and Germany, which Samsung clearly denies.
