Apple has replied to the motion filed by Samsung that requested to see the next-gen iPhone and iPad aka the iPhone 5 and iPad 3. According to it, Apple says Samsung’s motion should be denied as it “is an improper attempt to harass Apple by demanding production of extremely sensitive trade secrets.” Apple further argues that Apple is the “master” of the infringement claims and Samsung is the “copyist” and since the original complaint does not involve any future iPhone or iPad products, there’s no reason to show them.
On the other hand, Apple lawyers will receive already “announced, distributed, and described” Samsung products on June 17, after which Apple will decide to file a motion for a preliminary injunction against or not.
The decision on Samsung’s motion to see the new iPhone and iPad will also be revealed on the same day by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California judge.
