2 million Samsung Smart TVs sold globally in 3 months

Samsung has announced that their 2011 range of Smart TVs has crossed sales of more than 2 million units. Smart TVs offer a new user interface called as Smart Hub that allows users to socially connect with their friends, browse the internet, play games etc.

Samsung managed to sell these TVs in under 3 months and to equate, the Korean TV manufacturer is selling about 15 units per minute and about 22,000 units per day.

Region-wise Samsung has sold 730,000 units in North America, the world’s largest TV market followed by Europe with 710,000 units, 170,000 TVs in Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa and 120,000 TVs in Korea.
