Samsung’s NC215S solar netbook will reach US shores next month. Samsung has confirmed to Liliputing that the solar netbook will be launched in early July in United States carrying a price tag of $399. Americans will get the 10.1-inch netbook with Intel’s Atom N570 dual core processor and 1GB of RAM. Rest of the features are expected to be the same as the African variant.
The NC215S’ display lid is sports a solar panel at the back that enables an hour of battery life for about 2 hours of charging under sunlight. The overall battery life of the netbook exceeds to more than 14 hours.
