Sprint has announced that they’ll start selling Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 16GB model from June 24 for $499. If you’re wondering, yes, it is the same Wi-Fi model but Sprint throws in Overdrive Pro 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Sierra Wireless or MiFi 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Novatel with the tablet for the same asking price.
Internally, there’s no change in the Galaxy Tab 10.1 that boasts a 1GHz Tegra 2 CPU, 1GB RAM, Android 3.1 OS, 10.1-inch 1280×800 display, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 3MP camera with 720p HD recording support, 2MP camera for video chat, Bluetooth and 7,000mAh battery.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is shipped with the stock Honeycomb OS but a future software update will bring the TouchWiz user interface, Samsung Media Hub, Readers Hub, Social Hub and Allshare.
