Samsung has announced to provide Galaxy Tab 10.1 devices to University of Southern Mississippi students participating in an Honors College pilot program this fall. In this pilot program Samsung will give away 1,000 units of Galaxy Tab 10.1 preloaded with Blackboard Mobile Learn to allow students to access their courses, syllabi, e-textbooks, schedules, emergency notifications etc.
Apart from the app, it’s basically the same Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab 10.1 that is selling in United States.
Samsung has also confirmed to provide 450 units of Galaxy Tab to Idaho Science and Technology Charter School and has plans to expand to many more schools and colleges.
Tablets are like the Swiss Army Knife to academic excellence. By leveraging this new technology, we are committed to transforming the way students interact, engage and learn in the classrooms.
