CyanogenMod Founder Steve Kondik joins Samsung Mobile

If you’ve used Android for some time, chances are you must have heard of the CyanogenMod — an aftermarket firmware that runs on a number of devices to give a near stock Android experience. Well, the news now is that Steve Kondik, Founder and main developer of the project has joined Samsung Mobile. He’ll join the team as a Software Engineer, which means he could bring in some CyanogenMod-like features to the Galaxy lineup. Nevertheless, it’s good news for Samsung and their consumers.

As for CyanogenMod that powers thousands of devices, Steve says the “side project” is not affiliated and should be unaffected.
