In a weekly executive meeting held in Seoul, Hong Won-pyo, Executive Vice President of Samsung Mobile announced the Korean giant’s intention to be the number one player in the mobile phone (including smartphone) market. Hong highlighted the fact that the mobile phone market is growing and the volume of smartphone sales is increasing by leaps and bounds.
In the coming months Samsung will fortify its position in the premium markets whereas penetrate further in emerging markets with budget offerings.
