Intertek who recently certified LG’s AH-IPS LCD claims LG’s display is superior to that of Samsung’s Super AMOLED. The comparison between both displays was apparently ordered by LG Display where Intertek compared LG’s yet-to-be-released 4.5-inch 1280×720 display panel to the one already present on Galaxy S II, which is a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with WVGA resolution support.
The tests tried out for color accuracy and power consumption making LG’s AH-IPS LCD trump Samsung’s display. The results of this test maybe accurate but I think it is flawed as a new-generation display is being compared to Samsung’s somewhat older generation. Maybe a similar spec’d Samsung display with LG’s AH-IPS could make a better comparison.

a long time ago, when Apple used Retina display, many rumor said that it was superior than Samsung Amoled, but when i compare them side by side, its far behind it
