Samsung is close to reach 10 million bada-powered handsets and if the latest piece by Wall Street Journal holds any water, bada’s up take could increase significantly by next year. According to the WSJ report, Samsung is planning to open-source bada next year. This will fulfill two objectives – it will reduce the reliance on Google’s Android OS and second is the larger market share of bada in the smartphone arena.
The article also says that Samsung is trying to bring the bada OS to Smart TVs that provide the functionality of surfing the internet, download apps etc.
It will definitely be interesting to see how bada OS to Smart TV will turn up as Samsung had clearly denied bada on a tablet because it required a higher resolution display.

The giant waked up, but, I wish Sammy is not toooo late….Just relaying on Andro costed sammy toooo much money and time….if you have you own OS and factories to produce your phones, it means you are the strongest on market…..Sammy couldn’t use his true power, because the dollars coming from Andro blinded his eyes……. instead, he used his rivals car to go to the party and in the middle of the road he is being kicked out…..
Sammy I love you but I’m not sorry for you….You had BADA but, you underestimated it….
