Samsung has confirmed that its Venture Capital arm, Samsung Venture Investment Corporation (SVIC) will invest in a German-based company called Novaled. Intrinsic details of the investment are not known but SVIC will become a shareholder in the company.
Novaled specializes in PIN OLED technology that allows to reduce energy consumption while at the same time enhancing OLED panel’s shelf life.
Our investment in Novaled is consistent with our strategy to work closely with established market leaders. Novaled is a technology leader and has built a significant business in the OLED space. The company has demonstrated both a technical and business vision in driving adoption of OLED displays and lighting and we look forward to contributing to the progress of Novaled.
