Samsung to stop developing netbooks for ultraportable notebooks? [Updated]

NC215 Solar Netbook

UPDATE: Samsung-spokesperson, Nam Ki-yung confirmed by saying “no change has been made to our netbook sales strategy and will continue production and sales of our netbooks.”

French site, Blogeee has published an interesting piece of information that claims Samsung to move out from the netbook market (10.1-inch) next year. Samsung apparently sent an email to its partners saying that they’ll stop making the 10.1-inch devices in Q1 2012 and rather concentrate on making ultraportable and ultrabook (11.6-inch and 12-inch) in 2012.

Samsung in the past have created some decent netbooks, including a solar-powered NC215 netbook.
