Samsung mSATA PM830 SSD

Samsung has started mass production of PM830 Series SSDs that support the Mini-Serial ATA (mSATA) interface. Designed for use in ultrabook PCs, the new compact SSDs weigh just 8 grams and measure 50.95 x 30 x 3.8mm. It will be available in storage capacities of 256GB, 128GB, 64GB and 32GB, which will be available for caching.

The mSATA SSDs uses Samsung’s 20nm class NAND flash memory with toggle DDR interface and integrates SATA 6Gb/s controllers that help to achieve the sequential read/write speed of up to 500/260 MB per second. PM830 mSATA SSDs also embeds 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) protection.
