Google releases ICS update for Nexus S

December 18, 2011 By kunal Leave a Comment

Nexus S

Google has treated Nexus S users with a firmware update of Ice Cream Sandwich OS (Android 4.0). The second Nexus phone can now be upgraded from Gingerbread OS (Android 2.3) to Ice Cream Sandwich, making it at par with the new Galaxy Nexus phone.

It’s an OTA update but users can grab the update.zip file (OTA package for I9020T & I9023) to manually update the phone to ICS.

Detailed instructions on how to flash the firmware manually can be found on XDA-developers.
