January 5, 2012 By kunal Leave a Comment

Samsung has announced that its PM810 SSD has achieved Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) validation that conforms to Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 data security. PM810’s validation of FIPS 140-2 ensures the drive’s capability of providing highest level of data protection.

PM810 data security features self-encrypting drive (SED) technology that uses 256-but AES encryption and Crypto Erase that deletes targeted data in few seconds, no matter how big the volume size of the data.

Samsung says these SSDs security level can be useful to businesses who have to protect their sensitive data from any unauthorized access.
