Samsung at the National Retail Federation Conference 2012 announced the release of SUR40 Surface display. The SUR40 or Surface 2.0 that was on pre-order for the last couple of months is now available to businesses for $8,400 for the display or $9,049 for a tabletop unit with a matching stand.
Winner of CES Best of Innovations 2012 Award, Samsung SUR40 boasts a 40-inch full HD touchscreen display and with the help of PixelSense technology, the device can track various objects and fingers placed simultaneously. Moreover, it is powered by AMD’s Athlon X2 245e 2.9GHz dual-core CPU, AMD Radeon HD 6750 1GB GPU, up to 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, HDMI, Ethernet and Wi-Fi and a 3.5mm audio-out jack.
