Lee Kun-hee

Samsung’s chairman, Lee Kun-hee has been sued by his elder brother for inheritance. The eldest son of Samsung’s founder, Lee Maeng-hee has filed the complaint in the Seoul District Court asking a return of 8.24 million shares in Samsung Life Insurance which at today’s price translates to around 717 billion won and stocks in Samsung Electronics along with 100 million won.

Lee Maeng-hee’s complaint alleges that Lee Kun-hee concealed a mass of group stocks which their father had held and transferred them under his own name after the father’s demise.
