Samsung had Galaxy Note 10.1 signage all over Barcelona and now they’ve officially acknowledged the tablet. Unlike the original Galaxy Note that can neither be classified as a phone or a tablet, the Galaxy Note 10.1 is a tablet targeted at designers, businessmen, students due to its S-Pen functionality.
Samsung has improved the S-Pen input which now resembles like a real pen and has an eraser at the back, which can be used to erase stylus-created content on the Note. Additionally, there’s a new multi-screen feature that divides the display to take notes on one side and display content on another. For instance, a user can sketch on one side while looking at the image on another.
On the specs front, Galaxy Note 10.1 is equipped with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, WXGA display (1280×800), 16/32/64GB internal memory, 3MP camera, Wi-Fi, HSPA+ 21Mbps support and 7,000mAh battery.
UPDATE: Note 10.1 will also come with S-Pen optimized Adobe Photoshop Touch and Ideas apps.
UPDATE 2: Samsung Germany has confirmed the pricing of the 16GB variant. It will sell for 729 euros.
