Samsung S5K3H7 8MP CIS

Samsung today announced that they’ve developed a new premium 8 megapixel CMOS imaging sensor for mobile devices and digital cameras. The S5K3H7 is a 1/3.2″ 1.4um image sensor that features Backside Illumination (BSI) technology allowing users to take improved quality pictures in low-light scenarios.

Additionally, the new sensor allows users to record 1080p full HD video at 30fps, has no Shutter Lag enabling users to take pictures as soon as they release the shutter button and is energy efficient.

The new imaging sensor will be present in devices that will be announced in the next couple of months.
