Galaxy S II

GSMA’s Global Mobile Awards just concluded in Barcelona and Samsung came on top with two important awards. Samsung’s Galaxy S II bagged an award in the Best Smartphone category beating the likes of Apple iPhone 4S, HTC Desire S, Nokia Lumia 800 and Samsung’s own Galaxy Nexus. The judges were of the opinion that Galaxy S II is “a phenomenal success around the world” and has “outperformed all its Android rivals and demonstrated the maturity of the ecosystem.”

Samsung also picked up an award as the Device Manufacturer of the Year due to the “success” it enjoyed “across the board with progress in every category, and outperforming rivals in a tough market.”
