Verizon Wireless has confirmed the release date of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet. This high-end tablet from Samsung will be available on Verizon from March 1 carrying a price tag of $499.99 with two-year service agreement.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 for Verizon was announced at CES last month and one of the key differentiators between this and the international variant is the inclusion of 4G LTE, enabling high internet surfing speeds. It comes in a brushed metallic chassis and features a 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus WXGA (1280×800) display, Android 3.2 OS but will be upgradable to Android 4.0, 3.2MP camera and 2MP front-facing camera, 720p HD video recording and full HD video playback, 16GB internal memory, hotspot functionality and microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB.
The tablet is Samsung Approved for Enterprise (SAFE) certified which means the tablet comes with all the necessary security features required for enterprise use.
