Samsung South Africa has teamed up with vehicle tracking company, Tracker and SHOUT SA to release a crime fighting app called SHOUT. The app will enable South African citizens to report crimes and emergencies or even donate to SHOUT SA, an initiative led by musicians Danny K and Kabelo that was setup after the demise of Lucky Dube.
The three key features this app possesses are the SOS that can help to call the nearest Ambulance, Police or the Fire Department. The nearest location is suggested by the GPS present on the Samsung device.
Next is the Crime Search and Hotspot Notification that will map the crimes reported in the user’s vicinity and even notify the user in case they enter a high crime area.
The last feature will allow users to download the SHOUT song and donate directly to the SHOUT SA organization.
The SHOUT app will be available from April for free in the Samsung Apps store.
It is a great privilege for us as a business to be involved with SHOUT SA and the Samsung SHOUT app. Tracker is a powerful force for good in SA, where we are dedicated to bringing down crime and truly Taking Back Tomorrow for all people. Our purpose is for all people in our country to have the freedom to drive. Being a part of this application is just another step toward achieving this
