Samsung fined for obstructing an FTC investigation

March 19, 2012 By kunal Leave a Comment

Samsung has been fined by the Korean Fair Trade Commission (FTC) for obstructing an FTC investigation. The FTC was probing details of Samsung’s involvement in the recent mobile phone price fixing case.

Samsung has been fined 400 million won which is the highest ever FTC has levied on any company for obstructing an investigation.

FTC says Samsung’s top-level executives and security personnel blocked and delayed the entrance of the investigation team in the Samsung premises whereas employees deleted related data and other information during that time.
