Google Chrome OS being tested on Exynos 5250; Chrome OS tablet in the offing?

March 27, 2012 By kunal Leave a Comment

Samsung currently has two Chrome OS devices, both running Intel processors. However, Chromium OS’ code page has revealed that the OS is being tested for ARM chips and they’re doing it on Samsung’s Exynos 5250.

Admittedly, it is just Google testing the OS on an ARM chip but Samsung has emphasized in the past that this chip is specifically targeted towards high-end tablets. If all goes well, can we expect Chrome OS on a future Samsung tablet? We’re not sure but that does sound tempting.

Samsung announced this 2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A15-based Exynos processor in late November last year with a clock speed of 2GHz.
