Last month Samsung Electronics got the approval from the shareholders to spin-off its display business under the name Samsung Display. Well as per plans, the Samsung Display Co. will be operational from tomorrow where Park Dong-gun will head the company as CEO and senior vice president.
The company has over 20,000 employees worldwide, five manufacturing plants and had sales of 22.7 trillion won in 2011 making them the world’s largest in display manufacturer.
A separate entity will allow Samsung Display to enable better decision making and respond to market demands faster.
