Samsung’s flexible displays are now one step closer as the Korean display maker has now named its tech as “YOUM.” Samsung describes the tech as thin, light and unbreakable compared to other display technologies. Interestingly, YOUM does not have any glass substrate but uses plastic and comprises of a TFT Film, Organic layer, Encap film and polariser.
Last month Samsung confirmed that the first generation of flexible displays will be integrated in a mobile phone followed by other devices.
