Samsung Canada today announced the rollout of Google’s latest Android 4.0 upgrade aka Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung says the rollout begins from today for select devices and will be released throughout the quarter as per devices and carrier.
Devices that will be upgraded to Android 4.0 OS are as follows:
GALAXY S II
GALAXY S II LTE
GALAXY S II LTE HD
GALAXY S II X
GALAXY Note
GALAXY Tab 7.0
GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus
GALAXY Tab 8.9
GALAXY Tab 10.1
In addition to an improved user interface, Android 4.0 enhances overall performance as well as battery life and comes with features like Face Unlock and Android Beam that will support NFC-enabled devices like Galaxy S II X and Galaxy S II LTE HD.
