AT&T won’t release Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD

May 10, 2012 By kunal 1 Comment

Skyrocket HD

Samsung Mobile’s Director of Product Marketing, Ryan Bidan has confirmed that AT&T won’t be releasing the Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD phone. The reason for shelving the device is due to the unveiling of Galaxy S III which will apparently “orphan” the Galaxy S II variant.

Interestingly, Bidan hasn’t explicitly confirmed which American carriers will launch the Galaxy S III but claimed that it will arrive on “the fastest HSPA+ and LTE networks.”

This Galaxy S II variant was announced at CES and included specs like a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display (1280×720 pixels), 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4G LTE support, 8MP camera with full HD video recording support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS.
