UPDATE: Samsung confirmed to Associated Press that the OLED TV will release in H2 2012 for a price of around 10 million won ($9000).
Samsung unveiled the 55-inch OLED TV back at CES in January but Samsung today has revealed a production model for the upcoming premium television. Samsung says the 55-inch ES9500 OLED TV boasts improved picture quality and improves color reproduction by 20 percent as compared to LED TVs.
Moreover, the OLED TV features Smart DualView function that allows watching two different channels at the same time, Smart Interaction and Smart Evolution that will make hardware upgrades easier.
On the design front, Samsung has managed to make the ES9500 more streamlined with a thin bezel, making TV watching experience more immersive.
