Samsung Mobile Display (SMD) and S-LCD are now a part of Samsung Electronics spin-off, Samsung Display Co. Ltd. Both the organizations will conduct business operations with the world’s largest display manufacturer, which will help to improve management efficiency, supply chain and to consolidate LCD and OLED business initiatives.
Oh-hyun Kwon, vice chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics has also been appointed as the CEO of Samsung Display.
Samsung Display has a strength of 39,000 employees and seven manufacturing facilities worldwide.
